A meeting was held at the National Center for Higher Education Development to develop a strategy for attracting international students
On November 27, 2025, a meeting was held at the National Center for Higher Education Development with representatives of government agencies and organizations involved in supporting international students.
Representatives of the following agencies participated in the discussion: the Ministry of Science and Higher Education; the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Ministry of Internal Affairs; the Ministry of Health; the Center for International Programs; and the National Security Committee.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss measures to increase Kazakhstan's attractiveness for international students, simplify migration and visa procedures, and create a favorable environment for student adaptation.
Topics discussed:
— Integration of digital services;
— Health insurance and employment issues;
— Optimization of interdepartmental coordination;
— Development of a list of priority countries;
— Promotion of Study in Kazakhstan;
— Visa support issues.
Issues related to simplifying visa procedures, developing digital services, strengthening support for international students, and increasing the transparency of migration processes were discussed.
The work continues as Kazakhstan builds an open and attractive higher education system.
