REMC meeting

On April 23, this year, a meeting of the Republican Educational and Methodological Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (REMC) was held, which includes representatives of state bodies, NCE "Atameken" and 25 basic universities in the relevant areas of training.

The meeting discussed the development of research ethics in universities. Representatives of the Nazarbayev University, who have some experience in this field and are members of the Kazakhstan Society of Researchers in the Field of Education, spoke about interdisciplinary approaches.

At the same time, there was a presentation of the updated table of compliance of technical and vocational education specialties (TVE) to higher education when entering universities. This table provides for expanding the choice of training areas for college graduates when entering universities. So, graduates of TVE who enter related areas for reduced terms of study on a paid basis are exempt from passing the UNT.

Also at the meeting of the REMC, an Atlas of new Professions was presented, which will allow identifying promising industries for the next 10-15 years. In order to train personnel in accordance with the real need for personnel, universities will be recommended to take into account the research in the framework of the Atlas of New Professions project when developing educational programs.

In addition, a new format of entrance exams for doctoral studies was considered, including the approval of a single technical specification for the formation of a database of exam materials for entrance exams to doctoral studies for groups of educational programs, common criteria for evaluating questions and essays.
