The Conference of Central Asian Ministers of Education 2021 «Central Asian Higher Educational Area: regional cooperation, national reforms»

June 17, 2021, the first day of the Conference of Central Asian Ministers of Education has been opened in Turkestan city. The Conference is attending more than 250 people attended online, including representatives of the Ministries of Education of the region (Abylkassymova G.M., Kamolzoda I.I., Niyazbekov S.S.), as well as representatives of European organisations - the Council of Europe, the European Commission, the Bologna Follow-up Group, the European Quality Assurance Register, the European Students' Union (Colin Tück, Luca Lantero, Michael Murphy, Baiba Ramin) and etc.

The aim of the conference is to bring the higher education systems of Central Asian countries closer together, based on the principles of the Bologna Process.

Conference participants are discussing strengthening cooperation in four areas:

1. Creation of the Alliance of Central Asian Universities;

2. Creation of Central Asian Education Quality Assurance Network;

3. Creation of Central Asian Students' Alliance;

4. Association of Qualifications and Educational Recognition Organisations.
